UPDATE 12.35pm: Fire and Emergency are fighting a blaze at a warehouse in Judea this afternoon but say that all parties are accounted for from the affected building.
Northern fire and emergency shift manager Caren Larkin confirms they received multiple calls shortly before 12pm today.
'The fire was well involved when crews arrived on the scene,” says Caren.

'The back of the building is still on fire. It is an air conditioning warehouse and all persons are accounted for.”
Caren says that four appliances are currently at the scene with another on route.

A police spokesperson says Police have also been notified of a building fire on Birch Avenue just before midday.
"It looks at this stage like Police's involvement is limited to traffic control,” says a police spokesperson.Photo. Tyson Smith.
EARLIER 12.07pm: Emergency services are attending to what appears to be a large warehouse fire on Birch Avenue.
A caller to the 0800 SunLive number says 'it's a massive fire” with smoke billowing out into surrounding streets.
"You can see the smoke billowing all the way down Takitimu Drive," says one passerby.
Smoke is billowing out of the building.
"You can smell it down the Avenues."
Another SunLive reader says that Birch Avenue is closed.
Fire and police are on their way to the scene.
