Tuesday was meant to be debate day for Chris Hipkins and Christopher Luxon, but Covid has intervened.
National says it cannot find another day for Luxon to face Hipkins in the only South Island-based debate, but Labour says he is chickening out.
In the meantime, Labour's Megan Woods, National's Simon Watts and the Greens' James Shaw went head-to-head in a debate on climate issues on RNZ's Morning Report. Woods challenged National's claims the country could reach new zero emissions targets by 2050, saying it was not credible.
National is promising longer after-birth hospital stays for mothers, free glucose monitors for children with type-1 diabetes and more psychiatrist and psychologist training places.
Meanwhile, Labour is pledging $5.4 million to help build runway and hangar facilities at Kaitorete on Banks Peninsula to support the aerospace industry.
