Intermittent showers throughout the Bay of Plenty on Saturday meant that just two Versatile Williams Cup games produced results, albeit by way of the Duckworth Lewis method of deciding rain affected matches.
Eves Realty Greerton took home the win points on offer against near neighbours Craigs Tauranga Boys College, at Nicholson Field.
Tauranga Boys were removed for 131, with Reuben Swanepoel top scoring with 42 runs. Tom MacRury grabbed five wickets at a cost of 36 runs.
Past Bay of Plenty wicket keeper Alex Oakley led Greerton home with 54 runs. Another former Bay keeper in Tim Clarke was 39 not out in his sides eight wicket win.
Bond & Co Mount Maunganui won the toss and elected to bat against Papamoa at the Alice Johnson Oval. Long serving Mount premier player Matt Golding opened his teams innings and posted an unbeaten 72.
Daniel Coster, making his Mount Maunganui premier debut reached 40 before being removed, in his teams total of 157/7. Papamoa were 69/4 when rain again stopped play with the Mount fielders effecting three run-outs.

Element IMF Cadets were 61/2, when rain intervened against Sandford Wall Lawyers Central Indians in Rotorua. There was even less play in Taupo with Generation Homes Lake Taupo and Craigs Geyser City also abandoned.
