The finals and fourth weekend of the 2024 GJ Gardner Homes NZ Beach Tour are coming up later this week from February 16-18 at Mount Maunganui.

The third weekend of the series came to a close in Christchurch at the Pioneer Beach Centre.

Local stars Alice Zeimann and Shaunna Polley triumphed in the Women's division once again, making it three from three on this year's GJ Gardner Homes NZ Beach Tour presented by Tip Top.

Alice and Shaunna continued their dominance taking out the final against Anna Harrison and Danielle Quigley 2-0 (21-15, 21-15).

Alice who is from Christchurch thanked the local organisers and volunteers for their hard work over the weekend.

"It was great to play back in Christchurch, and very special for me having family and friends come to support in my home town! We had a good time competing and look forward to coming back next year," says Alice.

Third place in the Women's event went to Kalea Norton and Tineke Hinton who overcame Maria Hanabadi and Kiana Stevenson 2-0 (22-20, 21-17)

In the Men’s event, USA's Phil Dalhausser, a former Olympic Gold Medallist, World Champion and four-time Olympian teamed up with fellow American Olympian Taylor Crabb to take out the Men's division.

Kiwis Thomas Hartles and Ben O'Dea started strong against the visiting USA team of Phil and Taylor but would eventually fall 2-0 (21-15, 21-13).

Phil and Taylor will continue their New Zealand adventure next week at the finals of the GJ Gardner Homes NZ Beach Tour in Mt Maunganui.

Third place in the Men’s event went to Bradley Fuller and Alani Nicklin who defeated John McManaway and Thomas Reid 2-0 (21-18, 21-13)
