A culture where the concepts of community service are subject to violent disagreement (if you coudn't get what you wanted), where ideas like people working together, decency, honour, and consideration for others are ruled out as laughably outmoded and obsolete. Where you will take everything you can get and give back nothing. Where the most ruthless and violent are considered to be heroes and where you can cause mayhem with a phone call that HAS to be taken seriously. We need to start using technology that can tag the source of ALL incoming phone calls and filter out calls where the source is masked or not readily definable. Such calls should not even cause the phone to ring. It won't stop real attacks but it will stop idiots trying to disrupt the system.

There are some very unwell people living in our community.
I hope that they are located and receive everything that they deserve...

I agree with your comments. The technology to block "private numbers" is readily available in a PABX telephone system. In fact any number(s) can be blocked if need be. As usual, it takes a brave management to enact this policy, for it may offend someone. The PC world we sadly live in is to blame.

Thanks for the support. I see PC as a pendulum that swings and it is about time the current swing was reversed. People cannot realistically expect to go through their lives wrapped in cotton wool by a Nanny State, and never being offended or upset by something someone said. Labelling disagreement as "hate speech" is not only nonsensical, it is dangerous. We NEED disagreement to be in the open where it can be examined. Instead of threatening to disrupt (Reverend Tamaki and the Rainbow library sessions), encourage dialogue and discussion. Listen to opposing viewpoints even if you do it so you can review and maybe reinforce your own beliefs. A healthy society has disageements, but will never seek to suppress ideas, or the voicing of them.

Good job.

I hope they got the right person. Action still needs to be taken to filter calls so that other idiots cannot emulate what this one did.
