I'm curious as to how many people received an alert on their cell phones at 2.20am this morning regarding the earthquake as your story says west of Rotorua. The alert I received looks like it came from America it certainly wasn't from geonet and gave a magnitude of 4.9 and said it was east of Tokoroa and that there was a likely hood of gentle rolling movements. Once I opened the message it disappeared.
