Entry lists have filled rapidly, producing capacity grids for the summer’s penultimate event at Baypark Speedway this Saturday.

The Bay Mayhem night features the annual Super Stock Rumble and the Harry Fredrickson Memorial Stock Car Gold Cup.

The Bay of Plenty titles for sprint cars, F2 midgets, and youth mini stocks are also part of the packed programme.

A full 31-car grid for the Super Stock Rumble is headlined by Baypark’s newly crowned national champion, Todd Hemingway.

Visiting drivers from Huntly, Rotorua, Stratford, Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne tracks add to the competition.

Among the highly rated visitors are Taranaki’s Blair Uhlenberg and Hawke’s Bay racer Quin Ryan.

The full 2024-25 Baypark Busters squad is also set to compete.

The contact racing action is doubled with a 34-strong stock car field contesting the Harry Fredrickson Memorial Gold Cup.

Kihikihi, Rotorua, Auckland and Gisborne drivers will challenge Baypark’s local contenders.

Sprint car competition remains intense, with California teenager Joel Myers jnr headlining the BOP Championship field.

The 18-year-old, who won the North Island title on his Baypark debut, is part of a 22-car field.

Former New Zealand champions Daniel Thomas, Jonathan Allard, Dean Brindle, Rodney Wood and Jamie Larsen will provide stiff competition.

F2 midgets have delivered some of the most competitive racing this summer. An 18-car grid will contest their BOP title.

The BOP youth mini stock title features 26 young racers.

Home-track competitors face visitors from Huntly, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Auckland and Kihikihi.

A Parade of Champions begins at 6pm, celebrating Baypark drivers’ national achievements.

Racing starts at 6.30pm.
