Police can now release the name of the man who died following a crash in the Bay of Plenty at the beginning of the year.

Paul Jukka Makela, 56, of Kawerau, died following a crash on SH30, Coastlands, on January 23, said a police spokesperson in a statement today.

“Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.”
