Traffic delays are being reported on State Highway 2/Hewletts Rd this morning.

A SunLive reader has phone into to say a truck and trailer unit has broken down on the Tauranga Harbour Bridge in one of the lanes heading towards Tauranga.

“Traffic is very slow at the moment as cars are having to move into the right-hand lane to pass the truck.

“Traffic is backed up on Hewletts Rd and Totara St.”

People are advised to avoid the area if possible or expect delays.
