Western Bay of Plenty District Council are starting work on Wednesday September 10 to fix a slip that’s undercutting a road safety barrier on Reid Rd in Welcome Bay.

The slip is located about 1km up Reid Rd from Welcome Bay Rd.

"The road will remain open during these works, but there may be some delays," the council said.

Traffic management will be in place Monday to Friday between 6.30am-6pm, and a priority give way outside of these hours.

"Depending on the weather, we expect the work to take three to four weeks to complete."
