Emergency services at the scene of a vehicle crash at Waiotahe near Ōpōtiki.

Police said the single vehicle crash on SH2 at the intersection with Appleton Road was reported just after 1.20pm.

Hato Hone St John responded with one ambulance.

"Two patients were assessed by the crew and both treated at the scene. Both were in moderate condition and did not require transport to hospital."

Police advise that the road is currently blocked.
