Te Puke Baptist Church is set to host its much-loved Ocktoberfest tomorrow.

The long-standing annual event is a day designed to bring the community together with fun, food, and entertainment for the whole family.

More than just a fair, Ocktoberfest creates a space where people can connect, enjoy affordable activities, and celebrate what makes Te Puke special, said event organisers.

With low-cost stalls, free entertainment for children, and a warm community atmosphere, the day promised something for everyone, said Te Puke Baptist Church spokeswoman Airdrie Grylls.

Funds raised from the event will go directly toward supporting local youth initiatives, helping to invest in the next generation of our community.

Entertainment highlights include live performances from Te Puke Intermediate’s Nesian Pride group, Te Puke Dance Studio, Te Puke Gymsport, Fairhaven School’s Indian dancers, as well as a lively puppet show complete with balloon twisting fun.

This live entertainment would be running throughout the morning in the church auditorium.

Visitors can enjoy exploring a wide variety of stalls, with something for everyone, from plants, fresh produce, home baking and books to preloved clothing, shoes, and treasures for the kids.

“A special favourite each year is the huge white elephant stall, which always draws a crowd hunting for bargains and hidden gems.”

And there’s more for bargain hunters with a silent auction. Families can also enjoy hot food and drinks, including a cafe, sausage sizzle, hot meat rolls, espresso coffee, popcorn and more and, while enjoying everything on offer, the family car can get a wash.

A highlight for families is the range of free children’s games and entertainment, ensuring that everyone – from the youngest to the oldest – can take part.

Prayer would also be available for those who would like it, adding a meaningful touch to the day.

Ocktoberfest is at the church on the corner of Malyon St and Station Rd and runs from 9am-1pm.
