On Saturday morning, as thunder rolled, the sky darkened and rain was imminent, I was tottering along with my stick and my bags to the bus stop.  A woman who was walking her dog and lived nearby noticed me. She rushed home for her car and pulled up at the bus stop and offered me a ride to where-ever I was going.  This young woman did not know me, and I did not know her, yet purely out of genuine kindness she too the trouble to help a complete stranger.  So thank you to the kind person of Hollister Lane. She even left her dog at home in case the dog startled me.  Among all the problems of our little country it is heart-warming to know that simple kindness are still around us.
