Police are investigating an incident in Bethlehem after a vehicle reportedly crashed into a fence.

A police spokesperson said they were called to the area at 11.50am following a report of a single-vehicle crash into a fence.

“Police are responding, it looks like the driver already left the scene prior to police arrival.

“Inquiries are ongoing.”

An anonymous witness told SunLive that prior to the crash, they had seen a vehicle pull on to the kerb on Bell Common Close and block the entrance to the playground.

The witness said the vehicle appeared to leave the scene in a hurry.

They couldn’t confirm if it was the vehicle involved in the crash but said the two incidents happened within minutes of each other.
