Two US tourists named after fatal Waikato crash

Two American tourists and one Filipino woman were named after fatal SH1 crashes.

Two American tourists have been named as those killed in a crash near Tīrau earlier this month.

Joshua Laroy Greenway, 35, and Amber Kory Stephens, 34, were killed after the two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 at Piarere on October 15, police said today.

Emergency services were called to the crash near the intersection of SH1 and Horahora Rd about 7.40pm.

Three others were seriously injured and inquiries into the crash are ongoing.

Police also today named the woman who died following a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1, near Kinleith on October 22.

She was Almira Pasaol, 28, originally from the Philippines.

The crash continues to be investigated.
