Kiwis across the country have woken up richer from the latest Lotto draw with Second Division split between 17 players.
The winning tickets, each worth $15,522, were sold at a mix of physical stores and via the MyLotto app, with the largest share of wins hailing from Auckland.
Brick-and-mortar outlets where lucky tickets were sold include Auckland’s Meadowlands Lotto, Hilltop Superette and Royal Oak Mall Lotto, Hamilton’s Shop Rite Dairy, Four Square Ōhope Beach, Taranaki’s Ōpunake Supermarket, Kāpiti Knitting and Lotto, Fresh Choice Prebbleton and Paper Plus Alexandra.
Powerball rose to $8 million for Saturday night’s draw, although it failed to be struck.
It will instead roll over to Wednesday night, with the jackpot increasing to $10m.
The winning numbers were 37, 19, 8, 33, 29 and 11. The bonus ball was 3, and the Powerball was also 3.
Strike Four was also out of reach for Lotto punters in Saturday night’s draw, and it’ll now roll over to $700,000.
With the prize pool from First Division set at $1m, there will be a total of $11.7m on the table for players this Wednesday.
Saturday night’s draw comes just a few weeks after the record-breaking $55 million Lotto draw.
The life-changing prize was split between three players, each taking home $18.3m.
One of the tickets was sold at New World Kawerau and its owner, Clare Gallagher, said the town’s people were “really excited about some great news for Kawerau“.
The other two winning tickets were sold at Pak’nSave Moorhouse in Christchurch and through the MyLotto app to an Auckland punter.
What to do if you win
Ticket holders can see immediately if they have won if they purchased a ticket through MyLotto. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.
For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.
Winners with a physical ticket must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.
For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.
