Willow St site choice revisited

Tauranga City Councillors, business people and staff are in an informal workshop today discussing the choice of a Willow Street site as the central business district bus terminal.
They are re-examining the staff figures that were used in choosing the Willow Street station, but are said to be skewed by Councillor Murray Guy.

They are also talking about the $450,000 that New Zealand Transport Agency has awarded to the Willow Street site and if this should confirm the previous decision to build it there. There is also expected to be discussion about the economic impact on retailers of building it on Willow Street and some environmental factors.
No decisions will be made today, as this will be left for a full council meeting next week.
