Congratulations Kelvin. "Apprentice" mayor will give you good preparation for the next step up come 2016. Good decision Mayor Crosby.

the chair for "finance and risk", now this should be interesting after pre election posturing, so what should be the K.P.I for this group be set at?, 50% reduction in debt in 3 x years, if you are as good as you say you are John, it should not be an issue, then I can congratulate you.

Congratulations

Yeah Kapt Kave Mun, certainly a lot better but than before but not "perfect" such is the way of things in democracy. The pretty picture gets the vote not the truth of it all.

WooHoo ...

Question for Murray Guy

Posted on 25-10-2013 09:48 | By Councillorwatch

Sunlive 18 October Murray Guy after his election defeat wrote about scary times ahead and "The committee structures, chairperson and Deputy Mayor appointments will immediately tell us if it is business as usual (patch protection) or a new and inclusive mindset." So could Murray Guy now immediately tell us whether it is business as usual or a new and inclusive mindset? Well at least an answer based on his "mindset"?

Just

a point to ponder why not offer empty positions to any of the new candidates rather than the old

All Looks Good

A change is as good as a rest. Time will tell and the no hopers will very quickly come to the surface. Crosby may not last three years. There may be a coup.

What about the talents of the survivors?

Posted on 26-10-2013 11:22 | By Mychoice

The chairs of the really important major committees seem to be the newly elected councillors. To me this speaks loudly about the "ability" of the three former councillors who somehow survived???

Mayor about face already?

Before the Mayor said councillor vote on this on Wednesday next week 30th, but already "the leader" has announced his decision??? So much for democracy ....

New line up has potential

Of course it has to be confirmed at a Council vote but my guess is that these new councillors have started a good working relationship and will have a majority on Council. Personally I think the talent pool among the new councillors greatly outshines the ones who got re-elected.
