An emergency water shutdown is about to go into effect for the odd numbered properties between 289-325 Ohauiti Road.

A Tauranga City Council spokesperson says the action is to enable emergency repairs to a broken water main.

An emergency water shutdown will affect some Ohauiti properties this afternoon.

Some nearby streets will have lower water pressure: Snowden Street, Sefton Street, Taylor Street and Tarawera Street, says Tauranga City Council communication advisor Marcel Currin.

'We anticipate the shutdown will last no longer than two hours.”
