The hearing of submissions on the proposed Thames-Coromandel District Plan has been adjourned until tomorrow.
Along with the nuts and bolts of the district plan, topics to be covered include airfield height and noise overlay, airfield zone, transport policy and rules, road zone, noise, festivals and events, military training, significant trees and forestry.

District plans manage how land is used, developed and subdivided within the district. They help determine where activities take place, under what restrictions, and what natural and cultural features should be protected with the region.
The Proposed Plan uses objectives, policies and rules to reflect the community's aspirations and responses to the issues.
Every local authority in New Zealand must have a district plan under the Resource Management Act 1991.
The Thames-Coromandel District Plan hearing of submission will get underway at council chamber on Thursday, starting at 9.30am.
