The Thames Coromandel District Council wants to take the hassle out of finding a park through improvements to Coromandel Harbour Facilities.
Council is currently working on a business case for improvements to facilities and is seeking input from recreational harbour users.

The recreational fishing market is important to the Coromandel and the Coromandel Harbour Development team needs ideas from locals.
One idea being floated is an all-tide wharf right up by Coromandel town, like that at Furey's Creek and Jacks Point.
TCDC would like to bring recreational fishers closer to town at Furey's Creek but says that is a lot of expensive work.
There is also a lack of official economic data to recognise the true value of the recreational fishing sector to the economy of our district.
Combined with the lack of coordination in this widely dispersed and unstructured market, council's Harbour Development team wants to better understand the sector.
