Council spokesman Garry Towler says the meeting is a chance for the working group to share the status of the Walks project and to discuss parking issues around Hahei.
'We need to talk about the impact that increasing visitor numbers is having on Hahei and how we can best manage it short and long term.”
Pre-prepared handouts will be available and attendees will be given a copy to take away with them.
Presentations will be given by Garry and DOC representative John Gaukrodger who will speak about proposed routes plus update attendees on the department's integrated management plan.
Following these presentations there will be a public question and answer session, says Garry.
"We want to provide an opportunity to submit questions in advance so presenters can have time to prepare and have additional information with them on the day.”
The Proposed Cathedral Coast Walk update meeting will be held at the Hahei Community Hall on Saturday, November 29, from 10am to 12pm.
To submit questions in advance email Communications and Marketing manager Laurna White at laurna.white@tcdc.govt.nz.
