YouTube release for TISEC

The Tauranga City Council and Baypark operator Tauranga City Venues Limited have released to YouTube a video showing the construction progress of the Indoor Sports and Exhibition Centre.

See time lapse video of the Tauranga Indoor Sports and Exhibition Centre below.

Listed by user BethereatBaypark1, the time lapse video is created with film and pictures supplied by Fuel Advertising.

The centre is intended to be opened in Spring 2011, and the construction so far has funders happy.

Key funder, Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust, deputy chairman Bruce Cronin, was taken on a tour of the site last week, on which he expressed amazement at the scale of the project.

'I had expectations that it would be good and I knew it was large but I was blown away by the actual size and physical scope of the total project,” says Bruce.

'It's going to be an absolutely magic facility for our city and the region.”

The entire construction of the $41 million project is being filmed with a time-lapse camera taking photographs of the site each 15 minutes.

The 10,000sqm facility has a starting crowd capacity of 3500, a three court arena, a six court auditorium and meeting and function rooms.

Yeah get pictures of the thing quick before it goes down the tubes literally into the swamp or more likely financally in to the mire-either way it won't be a winner mate

Look for the loss on this one, this is going to be the master stroke of genius and of course proven leadership. Love to get the business plan and compare that to reality bet the gap between the "plan" and the "truth" will look like the Atlantic on a foggy day! Question: What does the UK / WW2 / Atlantic and Council / projects have in common ? Answer, they are all sitting on the ocean floor.

Master what about the Titanic the Collosus of Rhodes the Lighthouse at Alexandria and Atlantis to name a few.You would want to be a Hereward the Wake to build on this stuff-the FENS have nothing on it.Have a nice day conjecturing on that lot

NOT LIKELY 2 succeed

Stilts won't save this thing as an estuary swamp can be bottomless a bit like quicksand.Word has it there are already 90+ huge concrete pylons in place in an effort to support the structure.Any failure will of course be catastrophic so cross your fingers
