Police received a report of a car crashing through a fence and then into a parked car and corner of a house on a property in Otumoetai early on Saturday morning.
The car collided with the fence at around 2am.
A neighbour who saw the incident says that the driver fled the scene in a grey car which "will be extremely damaged along with missing the back windscreen".
They say that Police were called soon after and conducted a search of the area for the driver but were unable to locate them. As well as hitting the fence, the driver also smashed into a resident's car, writing it off.
Police say that the car left the scene immediately afterwards.
Anyone with information about the driver is requested to call Police quoting reference number P044319010.

Drugs, no drivers licence, no insurance, alcohol, stolen car, not registered, not warranted, not legal, can't drive and not man enough to own up and take responsibility.

the car he hit appears to have a broken wheel,so one of his front wheels must be munted too.It would be difficult to drive. What direction was he heading?

Probably both... It is fortunate nobody was hurt. Perhaps it would encourage such offenders to give themselves up (when they sober up), if there was a reduction in penalty for people who come clean and take responsibility. It would be fair, because it is saving the community money if Police don't have to hunt them down.
