On the 3rd of July 2017, my dearest husband John has climbed his final mountain after a brave fight. He died, as he had lived, a cherished husband of Carol, and father of three wonderful children, Sarah, Helen and Richard, also a proud "Grandy" to his eight grandchildren in three countries. His photographic prowess was legendary amongst his children and great grandchildren, as they were his "foreground interest" in so many of his films and photographs. We will miss this lovely man, husband, father and grandfather. ‘Rest in Peace my darling'. A big thank you to all the staff and nurses of Waipuna Hospice, Lexham Park Rest Home in Katikati, and Tauranga Hospital. At John's request no flowers, but a donation to Waipuna Hospice, Tauranga would be appreciated. A private cremation will be followed by a celebration for family and friends of John's life at Tauranga Park, 383 Pyes Pa Rd Tauranga, on Saturday 8 July at 2.00 pm.
