On Monday 17 July 2017 in Whakatane Hospital surrounded by her whanau, aged 62. Loved wife of the late Doug. Loved mother of Cornell, Richard, Angela, Errol and Chrissy. Adored nan of Tessa, Cory, Zeb and Kimmi-Lee, and Great-nan to Legacy.

A celebration of Freda's life will be held in the Salvation Army Church, King Street, Whakatane on Wednesday 19 July at 1pm followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
